Magnetica is a powerful yet easy-to-use tool for solving real-world problems in magnetostatics and related areas. Ideal for engineers, scientists, medical researchers, MRS or MRI radiologists, educators, and students, Magnetica‘s applications extend to a wide range of industries and research fields including electrical and electronic manufacturing, electrical power and utilities, magnetic resonance instrumentation manufacturing, and metallurgic and chemical processes in the production of magnetic materials.

Magnetica is a unique tool for advanced engineering and research. Unlike most competitive products on the market, Magnetica employs the faster and more precise, intuitive, and transparent DICEM (Direct Integration and Cell Elements Method) method of magnetic field calculation. Other tools rely on closed-box FEM (Finite Element Method) methods that offer insufficient precision for some applications and present a steeper learning curve for beginners. Combined with Mathematica‘s wide computational and visualization capabilities, Magnetica offers the advantages of high precision, adaptability, graphical mapping and display, and rapidity.

Although Magnetica is a Mathematica application package, no prior knowledge of Mathematica is required to take advantage of the package’s functionality. Magnetica incorporates a front-end program for the acquisition and validation of data with a built-in database of typical materials and typical magnetic system cases, as well as a magnetic field calculation engine and subsystem for drawing (2D and 3D) magnetic systems and magnetic field maps. The extensive online help system includes a help browser, complete set of palettes, reference guide, and detailed user manual.

Developed and supported by Magneticasoft, Magnetica is designed for use with Mathematica 4 or later and is available for all Mathematica platforms.
