Wolfram Alpha LLC today announced that the Wolfram|Alpha App for Android™ is now available through Android Market™. The app launched with the new T-Mobile® G2™ with Google™, the first smartphone designed to deliver 4G speeds on T-Mobile’s new HSPA+ network*, and will be available for mobile devices running Android 1.6 and higher on the T-Mobile Channel and in Android Market. The Wolfram|Alpha App for Android delivers the full power of the Wolfram|Alpha computational knowledge engine, providing Android users with a massive amount of factual information in the palms of their hands. On the T-Mobile G2, the Wolfram|Alpha app takes advantage of the speed and features of the only T-Mobile smartphone running on its super-fast HSPA+ network. The combination of the power of the G2 with the power of Wolfram|Alpha creates an extraordinary experience.
The Wolfram|Alpha App for Android leverages Android’s voice-input capability, making it easy to get answers from Wolfram|Alpha while you are on the go, hands-free. The application integrates Wolfram|Alpha’s growing repository of curated data, including over ten trillion data elements, and its library of tens of thousands of sophisticated computational models to deliver knowledge quickly and seamlessly, on demand, anywhere. It also leverages the advanced screen capabilities of Android 2.2 and provides high-resolution results on the latest cutting-edge Android-powered devices like the T-Mobile G2.
