Solve Linear, Nonlinear, and Queuing Problems with Industrial Optimization

Published June 1, 2000

June 1, 2000–Visual Analysis GmbH has recently released Industrial Optimization, a new Mathematica application package designed to solve a wide range of optimization problems. Industrial Optimization contains linear and nonlinear optimization routines for over 15 different problems and methods, as well as more modern and efficient techniques such as evolutionary algorithms for use when conventional routines become too time-consuming or fail to find a solution.

Industrial Optimization users can also create animated graphics of algorithm convergence and calculate the distribution functions and parameters of M/M/s, M/M/1, M/G/1, and Jackson network queuing systems. For flexibility and ease of use, Industrial Optimization comes with built-in palettes, detailed explanations, and helpful examples in both electronic and bound formats, as well as additional options for more advanced users.
